Ever have those days where you dream up a hybrid spawn between a beer and a wine? While the answer is here with Wild Blue! The little bottle with a big taste…

Whether you are a seasoned veteran or random tester, this tasty beer has no enemies.
Even though the 12-ounce bottle packs a high alcohol content, I sure cannot taste it. Granted, with any beer, the first sip brings on some taste of alcohol (have to make sure its beer), but the following swigs wash away that bite.
This lightly carbonated beer leaves just enough sizzle to refresh but not overpower.
Wild Blue can go with any meal or appetizer, that blueberry taste always shines through.
In case you’re wondering, yes the purple color is real.
Pictured: Yes. the distinct brilliant purple color is real and not some fancy photographic illusion.
Even though I am a lightweight, I still have never woken with a hangover from this beer. (I’m sure some of you are going to want to challenge this fact).
The men are weary at first. The whole fruity thing is a big turn off to the manly man, but an extra minute of coaxing and one sip lets the craving begin.
Even non-beer drinkers eventually come around. Last week, I won over my best friend Lindsey who happens to hate beer. Her first response was that it did not give her the “gag alcohol taste” leaving only the second response as a follow up beer.
It may take another beer to get the person to come around – but trust me, every person is going to leave checking that label or give the desperate phone call later, inquiring “What was the name of that beer?”.
And don’t forget to mention the name and the iconic blue bulldog mascot kicking the blueberry.
The name has a history all its own, “Blue Dawg Brewing – a group within Anheuser-Busch, Inc. that is responsible for the beer’s marketing, selling and advertising.” (anheuser-busch.com) The beer is bottled in Baldwinsville, NY. Wild Blue is available at select grocery and convenience stores. It should be available everywhere so just go to your local spot and put in a request. You may have to wait for the shipment but the wait is well worth it Try something new – go Wild Blue!
